After rebooting Sky+HD box the red recording light is staying on even though no recordings have been

After rebooting Sky+HD box the red recording light is staying on even though no recordings have been made. I looked at previous posts on this topic and tried the suggestions including a Planner Rebuild. None worked.
The onscreen message is "Sky+HD playback and recording are unavailable"

Any further suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not sure that it is actually a red light or a button painted red especially as it has remained "on" even after unplugging the box for half an hour or so. I have two boxes this second one and the main one in the lounge and I notice this also has a red button but is recording and playing back as normal.

I have recently discontinued my Multi-room subscription on the second box. I had to change the viewing cards over and initially I was unable to playback on the main box without pairing the viewing card. So I am going to do that now on the second box.

You will usually get a "Diskless Mode" error message if the Hard Drive has failed

Maybe Sky cancelled the wrong viewing card when you ended multiscreen 😞

Could be Viewing Card related, from what you've posted. See Sky's help here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/call-us-on-screen-messages-sky-plus

That's not a red LED that is the colour of the paint that they use for the record button, our DRX890 and DRX895 both have red record buttons this is normal
