use stream puck before contract

hello! i'm due to start sky contract on 21st august and have received my sky puck box -- can I start using it?

I'm aware I wont be able to access sky packages, but would like to use for streaming bbc etc.

Yes. You can activate and use the Stream puck as soon as you receive it, as long as you have broadband available. It does not require Sky broadband specifically to function. Once activated you will be able to stream every channel on the package you signed up for.

No problem. Just remember that you'll need to change the network settings on the puck when you do get your new broadband connection. If you get a new router with a new WiFi password you'll need to switch to using that. If you connect via ethernet (with WiFi off) then you shouldn't need to do anything other than restart the puck.
