switching from Q to stream

I am out of contract and online when I try to switch to stream from Q it states i have the best TV experience and won't allow me to change.

Excuse me I think I know if I want to change to stream or not and what the best experience would be for me.

Why is sky blocking me from switching to stream? Do I honestly need to cancel my current contract and start afresh to get stream?

Sky only allow switching from Sky Q to Sky Stream by phone.

The main reason being you are NOW on a rolling full price contract.

If you cancel that Sky will offer a discounted 18 month contract.

As far as Sky is concerned a phone call is required to cancel Sky services it can not be done online.

If you call them try you are better off speaking to retentions.  Sky stream is often more expensive like for like but you can haggle 🙂
