sky f1 highlights - sky one

setup sky one this morning to add the highlights show to my playlist when i was at work ( 10am )  when I tried to view it it says i need the sky sports subscription.  I copied it when it was on SKY ONE not sky f1, so whats going on?  I dont have sports package as only watch f1 and dont wanna pay for all the other channels.  is it just gonna keep adding from sky f1 even though ive not got it and wanna copy it from sky one?  If i cant sort this ill have to view on channel 4 highlights but is very stupid if you cannot view a sky one channel cos its originally on a channel you dont subscribe to.

It's probably one of those instances whereby it's only available to watch live on Sky One. If you want it on demand then you'd need to subscribe to a Sports package. Sky One fill out their schedule with content from subscription services - it's partly to try and entice you to pay for additional channel packages. Sky are a commercial enterprise after all.

will stick to channel 4 then, least i dont have to pay. not paying for sports channels i dont want.  sky used to do its own f1 subscription., linking it in is stupid of u dont watch any other sport

There might be a method of just getting F1 on Stream, I'm not sure. I know there is on Q, but you'd need to speak to them. 

I agree, it is ridiculous. I'm currently in the USA with work and all the F1 coverage is included with an Apple TV subscription, including the option of viewing all the Sky Sports streams. You can get it in 4K with Dolby Vision too. It looks incredible and there's been no stuttering or sound sync issues.

I don't the EXACT same thing this morning with the EXACT same outcome. Came here looking for the answer. Was hoping to watch the Sky coverage, bit will stick to CH4. I too, only watch the F1 so won't pay for an entire Sky sports subscription for 1 sport! Now starting to understand the downside of a sky stream over a old style Hardrive tv recorder!

I would pay a reduced price for just the F1 channel but not a full beans sports package!

Sky just offered me £17 extra a month for f1 only, still turned them down. They can offer it as a standard channel but at a seriously expensive price. I watched highlights on channel 4 now and will continue to do so. U right about stream though. It wouldn't of happened if u could of just recorded the highlights on sky one.

TBF I would turn that down too. 

Now watching the CH4 highlights. I was a HUGE F1 fan until it all disappeared behind the Sky sports paywall. Here's hoping they change the Skyone offering for the highlights in the future. Will stick to watching Steve Jones, Mark Webber & DC for now!

I used to watch the full races on sky f1 channel years ago they offered it as a stand alone channel and was a lot cheaper. One channel for £17 is not worth it anymore even if it is as good as the sky coverage was. Will have to stick to channel 4.
