Sky Sports Live Sync

Back in 2024, Sky introduced "Live Sync" for Sky Sports Main Event, reducing latency by over 20 seconds and bringing it closer to satellite. In the press release for this, they mentioned bringing it to "other Sky Sports channels this year.", however, it's now 2026, the new F1 season has started yet no live sync option in sight for the F1 channel

It's less of an issue for Australia since it's at 4am and therefore not going to clash with any other major sporting events but for many of the other races, Main Event will either cut away or not show the race at all due to something like a big premier league game.

I have live timing open on a second screen during the race and if I'm on F1 UHD, I have to add a delay of 32.5-37 seconds whereas on the "SSMELSUHD" (Sky Sports Main Event Live Sync UHD) channel, it's often 12-15 seconds.

Is this feature ever going to make it to other channels and if so, is there any timeline? It'd be nice to have for F1 races, especially since I tend to chat with others on Discord during the race and sometimes get spoiled by others seeing things first

@GamingGeek I'd hold fire on wanting Live Sync on F1 because it doesn't even work properly on Main Event. 

Live Sync is a half **bleep** attempt from BT and Openreach to reduce latency but it doesn't work properly.

Live sync works great for me on Main Event but it won't always be showing F1 which is why I'd like to see it as an option for the F1 channel

@GamingGeek whenever I've tried it, I either get echoey sound or what appears to be error correction on the video.  That could be down to a capacity issue on the MAUD service at our local end. Either way, it still shows that it's not really fit for launch by BT/Openreach.. luckily I'm not fussed about a 30 second delay...
