Why can’t I get the Plex App on Sky Stream?

Why doesn't Sky Stream let you search for Apps and install them. I especially would like to use the Plex app

The plex app can be used to connect to iptv servers and almost definitely won't be seen on skys equipment .....

@EdRoberts32 because Sky Stream system is a closed system and Sky choose which apps are available on the Sky Stream system🤔

Sky control everything. There is no App Store on Stream. You only get the apps Sky choose. 
If you want choice & flexibilty you need something like an Apple TV box or an Android streaming device, both of which have app stores and on board storage for installing apps of your choice.

Just not a business model which Sky chooses to use.  It's perhaps worth noting that on subscription hardware app providers would be expected to contribute towards support cost (including call centres), which most aren't in a position to do.

It always a good idea to have access to another Streaming Device🤔
