Re: What can I do?
@ShaunaOreilly Hi Shauna, if you have had Sky Stream for less than 30 days you can cancel without a cancellation charge.
I appreciate you now have a smart tv but that is not the same as Sky Stream, but presumably you have researched what channels you can get on that as opposed to Sky Stream.

because it blew my old one.
Very difficult to see how a video signal (plus 300mA at 5V) over HDMI cable could 'blow' anything: it's much more likely that the television power supply or some other component failed as it was switching from standby to full power.
No smart television (apart from Sky Glass) has anything like the same live channel availability as Sky Stream unless a NowTV subscription is active on it.

Re: What can I do?
What proof do you have that a puck that you say still works correctly "blew" your old TV?
As above, Stream provides much more content than any smart TV.

Not strictly true.
Many Samsung smart TV's have Samsung TV+ built in which offers hundreds of live streamed channels and on demand content. Coupled with the vast quantity of free streaming apps which can be downloaded to the TV, you can get access to much more content than you can on Sky's streaming platform. Not the same content necessarily, but more content.
This is why it's important to research what you want from a streaming TV experience.
The streaming market is much bigger than the satellite TV market. Content-wise, everything that's available via a Sky Stream puck is available elsewhere.

For Sports content in particular there's a fair proportion that's not legally available unless it's through a Sky or Now branded service.

Of course, but the NOW app can be downloaded to a Samsung Smart TV and the entire Sky Sports line up can be streamed via that.
I don't condone illegal streaming services at all.
