What Sky package lets me record on

I just set up my sky TV and broadband. I didn't realise that the package I bought doesn't let me record. What package do I need to be able to record stuff. Also the Sky App doesn't recognise my postcode so doesn't let me complete my registration???

Hi @Mrsbee1

What Sky product do you have? Glass and Stream don't have a record function locally. Items are added to playlist and either playback via the broadcasters catch up service or some programmes cloud record to sky's servers.

See: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-stream-faqs

If you want full recording abilities you require Sky Q and this requires a dish and an engineer visit.

Re: What Sky package lets me record on

Whilst you can't record programmes with Sky Stream, this YouTube video explains how the Playlist function works (it demonstrates on a Sky Glass TV, but the functionality is the same on a Sky Stream puck) -
