Yep, you need to press the reply arrow icon on the individual message, it's next to the like button.

Cracked it, I was clicking the main Reply button, not the one for the message, thanks all sorted

@Jporch316 I remember asking this exact question when I first started to frequent this forum, the helpful Oracle (now known as Superuser+) I asked told me they didn't know (dispite them using it all the time) 🤣

To get back on topic... is it fact that gen2 pucks are not getting the update? Why is that? Seems strange that we will miss out for even longer with a product that does not work as advertised.

There are no gen pucks - are you referring to the Gen 2 glass?

We are led to believe that QS35 is being skipped on the gen 2 glass which will be going straight to qs36.

Re: Watch from start fast forward issue once broadcast has ended

There still seems to be a problem with QS035.  When trying to watch the F1 qualifying this morning on catch up, after each set of adverts (there are many because it is a long program) the program jumped back to the beginning.  I then had to fast forward to the point I was watching.  As the program is very long before it gets to the actual qualifying action, this was extremely painful.  Even though I don't have ad skipping, most of the time it does allow you to fast forward through the ads after it has jumped back to the beginning, however, on one occasion I was forced to watch the ads again.  The same thing has also happened when watching Madame Blanc Mysteries on catch up this evening.

@Ashlar  is it also still happening on watch from start to finish? Or just playlist items

Edit - misread post

Re: Watch from start fast forward issue once broadcast has ended

It may be a different problem, but it is very similar.  In the case of the F1 qualifying, the program was still being broadcast live when I started watching it from the beginning on catch up.

Re: Watch from start fast forward issue once broadcast has ended

So far, since the QS035 update, I have only seen it happen when I have watched from the playlist, but as I said in the previous post, the program was still being broadcast live at the time.  I used the playlist to watch F1 qualifying because I didn't want to go in via the live program and see the results before I had watched the rest of it.

Re: Watch from start fast forward issue once broadcast has ended

Probably lighting bluetouch paper here but.....although it's an annoyance.... there IS a workaround.

Saying SkyStream  is not fit for purpose and demanding refunds/cancelling  contracts etc is a bit reactionary imo.

I heard a LOT of negative stuff about sky stream ...even from Sky themselves... I was SkyQ but my neighbours trees made it unwatchable  .... when I checked out sky stream on sky's website it was taking me no..... but i went ahead anyway and never looked back.

The bug has been identified  and the fix is being rolled out.

It will be great when it's sorted sure....... but in the meantime....relax . .. and use the workarounds.

Hopefully the issue is now resolved as I haven't had any more problems with WFS since receiving the QS035 update at the end of last month 🤞

Re: Watch from start fast forward issue once broadcast has ended

@Ashlar @I've found watching back f1 sessions much improved this year.ive been able to find practice sessions and qualifying very easily and no problems fast forwarding through adverts from my playlist.as opposed to very hit and miss last year and hard to find different sessions.

improvements have definitely been made and I've more confidence I will be able to enjoy watching back in the future.big relief

I do have ad skipping and am watching from my playlist after the sessions have been saved from a few hours after they have been aired live

Re: Watch from start fast forward issue once broadcast has ended

The problem seems to be much worse since I cancelled ad skipping (ad skipping, UHD and Netflix premium had to go so I could subscribe to TNT sport following the loss of Eurosport)  It has happened when watching the F1 qualifying program in particular, which has lots of adverts during the program and a lot of guff, which I skip through, before the qualifying actually starts.  This has happened with both with QS034 and QS035.  The F1 race is okay because it doesn't contain any adverts.

Re: Watch from start fast forward issue once broadcast has ended

@Ashlar yeah I found trying to watch back qualifying last year very frustrating.could never find it in my playlist..i thought maybe sky were forcing me to watch a replay on the f1 channel later in the day to make me watch adverts but this weekend I watch qualifying from my playlist a few hours after the live broadcast and had no issues with fast forwarding adverts.

slightly different than the topic in this thread (watch from the start) but credit to sky for this improvement.hopefully it's the same for all races.
