TV input App has appeared

A new TV input app has appeared on my sky stream box. Has it appeared on anyone else's. When pressed it provides an opportunity to search for terrestrial tv channels via the stream box

As some of you may have noticed, last week we enabled the DTT-App on Sky Glass as one of the default available apps, meaning it is now accessible without the need to disconnect your internet 😊. However, as part of that update, the app catalog for Sky Stream was inadvertently updated with the same configuration, causing the app to become briefly available on Sky Stream. This was unintentional and has since been disabled.

@GD1 @Not sure ! All the terrestrial tuner software is in English ? You think it's an error ?

Re: TV input App has appeared

It only picks up the digital channels, doesn't seem to work on any of the data/streaming channels within freeview

@Anonymous  Hard to say as the facility is availble in Italy for certain, hopefully it's a permanent feature, time will tell.

Although it does seem strange.

Re: TV input App has appeared

I suspect it is meant to be, based on the tuner is in English. I guess it provides a good back up for customers suffering from any WiFi issues. Secondly adds channels unavailable on stream such as TPTV, that's tv, rewind tv etc ???

@Anonymous  Annoyingly though it puts the main SD channels 1st and HD from 101 onwards

Re: TV input App has appeared

Mine did this last week. I had to factory reset the puck on Sky's advice. When it restarted it was on QS034 & allowed me to tune in the free to air channels under the same aerial input icon. It lasted a few days then disappeared again.
Weird. These pucks are too darned glitchy. I'm growing less & less fond of mine.

I have seen the app but don't really see why I would want to use it on a Stream Puck.  If I cancel Sky I have to return the puck so it won't be of any use (unlike Glass) and if my broadband goes down (which it did for a few hours on one occasion last year) then I would simply revert to watching from my TV.  Am I missing something?

A great feature for Glass owners though.

I agree. I completely see the value of it on Sky Glass but can't really understand the usefulness of it on the puck.

A device needs to support Freeview to access those😉
