Subtitles slow

We have Sky stream for my 91 year old mum who is bed bound in a care home. Subtitles being lost on a regular basis is just par for the course now and I reset it when I visit each evening. Even more annoying now is that the subtitles severely lag behind the dialogue and so it becomes impossible for her to em watch the TV. She is hard of hearing and so uses the subtitles to help when the dialogue is quick or muffled. I can't find anyway to improve this and as it's happening on pre-recorded content not just live broadcasts it's perplexing to say the least. Is there anything that can be done. She is getting really sick of it and Sky stream is really her o my TV option and so it's really upsetting to see her so miserable. The TV is all she has these days.

Re: Subtitles slow

I am afraid I do the off/wait four minutes daily. This isn't an issue of the subtitles being on screen. Its they lag behind the speech so much they are unusable, I would expect some lag for live broadcasts but not for pre-recorded content. It's unwatchable at time and annoying giving Sky stream have just put the price up. It's actually quite poor considering this is well

below accepted accessibility standards. I assume form the advice posted there is no fix insight or indeed even in the technical teams radar.

Re: Subtitles slow

It's a shame nobody from Sky could come back to us in this. I guess the answer is they are too fussed about accessibility.
