Streaming remote not working

My sky stream remote is responding correctly so I can't watch my tv

Hi @Janewinder If your remote is not responding correctly I would try the following:

 

Firstly reboot the system by switching off at the plug socket for a minute before switching it on again. I will take about a minute to reboot.

 

Then try to pair the remote again as follows:

  1. Press 7 and 9 together on your Sky remote for three seconds (This resets/clears the remote)
  2. Press 4 and 6 together for three seconds
  3. Press 1 and 3 together for three seconds (bluetooth mode).  A connected message should appear on your screen, press continue and it's all done

     

    My own remote was giving me trouble a couple of days ago and the above sorted it out.  However, if that doesn't help in your case then have a look at the following troubleshooting guides:

You could also try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a cloth.  Even though it sounds an unlikely solution it has got many faulty remotes working again (including my own on a couple of occasions).

 

If none of the above help then I would contact Sky and request a replacement. If you are lucky enough to have one available you can use a Sky Q remote while you wait for a replacement to arrive.
