Stream issues

Is there something wrong with Sky Stream? For the last couple of days it is struggling to stream live tv with pictures going black and message saying waiting for program to load. I do not have any issues with my full fibre connection and have had the issue on WiFi and Ethernet. I see other posts about this which indicates there does seem to be a problem somewhere. I can stream apps from my tv and apple box with no issues.

Re: Stream issues

Sky stream can provide variable performance even with good WiFi speeds. How are you connecting to the broadband ? Try Ethernet connection. I would also recommend turning the box off and on for a couple of mins. If the problems persist contact sky

Re: Stream issues

Tried all of that, it didn't make any difference. I have had stream for 2 years and haven't had any issues until recently.

Just to be certain that something has not changed on your local network, like other new devices or some kind of new interference.

Can you do a network speed test on your Puck.
Launch Netflix on your puck (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a few times, say a few minutes between tests.
What is your speed?

Try a restart on your Sky Stream puck from the settings;

Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete

Re: Stream issues

Hi Nesslad,

I am having exactly the same problems.

Screen going blank, unable to load programme.  I am resetting the  password to get going again.

Mine does appear to happen at the same time most evenings.  Very frustrating and can not beleive Sky have not identified this problem and at least sent out a message that they are working on it.
