Re: Stream freezing

Many people assume they have a fast enough connection because of their broadband package or what their router is saying, but the speed reaching the Sky Stream Puck may be much lower. Here's a good way to check that:

  1. Open the Netflix app on your Sky Stream Puck.
  2. Go to Get Help in the sidebar.
  3. Select Check Your Network.
  4. Note the download speed displayed.

Can you reply with the speed please?

Re: Stream freezing

I am not the original poster but I have been having the same problem for the last couple of weeks - the live channels tend to freeze after 30 seconds or so.  I don't have any trouble watching on demand content. My speed at the box (as judged by Netflx) is generally upwards of 30MBps which is higher than the recommended minimum.  Any ideas appreciated.

Re: Stream freezing

@person2 The 30Mbps recommendation is probably more accurately described as 30Mbps dedicated just to Stream. If you're close to 30Mbps then other devices using bandwidth and general network interference will probably drop you below that causing the image issue.

Re: Stream freezing

Still unfortunately an issue and waiting for Sky to fix rather than blaming it on our ISP and network

In this case it may well be a low bandwidth problem.
