Stream Box freezes after Amazon Prime

I have noticed (maybe since the new update) that after watching something on Amazon Prime, if I return back to the Sky Stream home then try and launch another app, for example BBC iplayer,  then screen goes black and the Stream Box freezes,  the ony fix seems to be pulling the power and rebooting the box

@TechMaster I have just tried the exact scenario you have described and had no problem.  If you have not already done so I would reboot your Stream puck (unplug for a couple of minutes) and then refresh the Apps in settings/System management.  Note the App refresh is done in the background so you can continue to use the puck but as it can take a few of hours so I tend to do it overnight.

Thanks for checking, I do power cycle the box as it just locks up, haven't tried refreshing the apps, I will try that

 

- I have only noticed this watching Fallout - UHD HDR on Prime

This isn't a specific prime issue, this can happen I believe when the device is short on memory and I've noticed is typically caused after a long use of opening apps and not rebooting the device.

 

Ive had this a handful of times but a reboot always fixes it.

@MarkGoldsmith I think a lot of people don't close the apps properly and simply hit the home button.  Although it can be a bit of a pain I always close an app after use by using the back button until the exit option occurs or it takes me back to the home screen.

Agreed - when I remember to close the apps properly I never seem to get this particular issue.

It only happens to me watching prime, but I am guilty of not shutting the app down, I will try that too
