Sound stops working

I have a sky stream puck, Sony tv and Sonos beam 2. Sound is set to pass through on the puck and on the tv and sound works normally until you pause a program! If you pause it for a while, maybe 5 minutes then come back to press play sound no longer works.

 

you can then not get sound to work again and if you click between different apps and change sound settings the whole puck freezes and the screen goes black.

 

only an issue with sky stream, everything else connected to the tv and soundbar works flawlessly!

Yeah, I get similar. Very frustrating. I think it's just a symptom of how slow & cheaply made these pucks are.

Same issue here. Very frustrating. Ours also sometimes just doesn't work from the offset, meaning we're reverting to non sky channels. Sky need to resolve soon!

Not just problem with pucks
Same problems with 2 yr old Sky Glass  (not Gen 2) 
Apart from the inbuilt problems with some subtitles which they knew when they launched Glass with had no problems with it
Then around Christmas/New Year and increasingly over the past two weeks problems with speech synch - turn off turn back on works for a day or sometimes just a few hours
Then lunchtime 1 March without any warning speech output disappeared - background tracj sounds only. 
Checked my Glass sound settings - speech enhancement, bases outputs etc all OK
Checked across channels, apps even plugged in DVD - speech output either completely absent or very very low volume, background sounds very loud. Total absence of speech seems to affect HD channels and apps in particular.
Tried rebooting router, switched bandwdths & modes. 
Hub toggles between 2,4GHz & 5GHz bandwidth depending on signal devices send it - never been a problem in 2 years so what has changed with the advent of Sky Glass Gen 2?
Any help gratefully received.

Try changing the Audio output to Dolby Digital Plus... That seems to solving a multitude of issues.

Hi, 
Just trawling through the settings


The only AO's I've got available are the TV speaker, Bluetooth device or Bluetooth device & TV speakers.

How is your Sonos Beam connected?

I don't have one - just the integral soundbar ot the Sky Glass TV
