I have 3 sky pucks - two generally work OK but the other has issues as when I turn TV on there is no sound - to rectify this I need to change channels until it then starts to kick in audio - I can then get sound from all channels.
Have you checked the audio output settings on the puck? If you're connecting the puck just to a TV without any soundbar or surround sound kit attached then set it to PCM instead of Auto. That may help.
