Re: So many ads

I totally agree this pick should come with a hockey stick to bat it out the door, sky tv is no longer fit for purpose! I'm watching (or trying) to watch banshee on Atlantic and you can see the advert bars are much longer than 10 mins per hour! Then if you pause it to get a drink it restarts and makes you watch another 3 min adverts, can't wait to be out of contract I shall not be continuing with this 💩

Re: So many ads

The repeat, repeat, repeats I'm  saying are Sky programmes.
Reluctantly, have made an extra payment to watch ad-free Netflix.   That  , BBC , channels, and PBS(minimal ads) make up my TV experiences.

Am  investigating  YouTube  as a Sky replacement.

Re: So many ads

I currently pay for the ad skip which is insulting if you are paying extra on demand content from sky should be totally ad free like Netflix, etc.

Also recently with ad skip it sometimes show part of or all of the last ad not exactly ad skip at all more like ad reduce

Re: So many ads

Not familiar with ad-skip. Doesn't sound as it says on the tin.

I pay £4/month for ad-free Netflix.   It's with reluctance but does give a better viewing experience.

Re: So many ads

Perhaps Now with Boost/Ultra Boost would be better for you. All Sky's on demand material are ad free.

Re: So many ads

We have just had HBO added to our package, Ive tried 3 times now to see what its about and each time i got so many adds before seeing anything came up I gave up.  We not renewing Sky this time, If I want to see adds I may as well just get the streaming I want thats free, We mainly watch Youtube now, still lots of adds but nowhere near as many

Perhaps note that how Warner Bros Discovery Ltd choose to insert advertising into its own app(s) is nothing to do with Sky.
