Sky stream tv licences

Since sky stream is as it says on the tin a streaming device hence why im several seconds behind live tv does that mean i dont need a tv licence? I only watch sports outside of netflix and disney and that is behind any live game so surely im watching catch up now?

@Okivia As discussed many, many, many times in this community you need a TV licence to watch any Live TV or iPlayer content.

 

It is irrelevant that live TV is slightly delayed on Stream as the same argument could be applied for Satellite or Freeview delivered channels as they also have a delay.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

The Government definition is

 

You need a TV Licence to watch or record programmes on a TV, computer or other device as they're broadcast, and to watch on-demand BBC programmes on iPlayer.

While this is now rather old and hasn't quite caught up with the basic fact that all digital capture-processing-transmission-reception has some degree of delay, as @GD1 says it's rather unlikely that's going to work as a defence in court as the intention of the wording is quite clear.
