Sky stream renewal
Hi guys, coming up to the end of my first 18 months with sky stream. Wondering what deals people have had luck with when renewing? I know sky stream is pretty new. Bit frustrating seeing sky offer bundles with broadband for new customers when I'm paying for both separate right now. Will I have any luck or am I stuck with the cursed renewal price hikes?

Re: Sky stream renewal
Hi @B3njiuk welcome to the forum. I have not tried personally as I am on a monthly rolling contract but I read a thread recently where the discussion was basically that offers to Glass and Stream customers were not very forthcoming except for new subscribers.
It is always worth a phone call to discuss renewal discounts. Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say.

Re: Sky stream renewal
Your best bet is to ask to cancel. Offers only come when they know you're willing to leave.
I was offered 9 months half price Entertainment & Netflix when I asked to cancel last year.

@Padam_Padam That's good in theory but it doesn't always work. I have a friend who did that and they simply started processing the cancellation. He reactivated it before he lost access but at no point did he receive any inducement to stay.

Re: Sky stream renewal
I was offered the exact same deal, so took it. It's on a rolling basis also.

Yeah I get the impression that Sky are being much tighter with the purse strings now. If you want the service you've got to pay full whack for it. You might get the odd period of UHD/Atmos or ad-skipping for free, but the main Entertainment pack is probably going to remain at more or less full price.
Like everything else these days, subscription TV is the latest service to increase in cost quite significantly. We all just have to get used to it or choose to stop subscribing.

Re: Sky stream renewal
Interestingly Sky are one of the only major companies who have failed to comply with OFCOM new rulings in respect of fixed and advertised price rises during a contract. I think this means that any new subscribers are now not held to the contract should Sky increase prices annually (they will do this).

Re: Sky stream renewal
I recently renewed mine and it's £3 per month than I currently pay for Ultimate TV, Cinema and Sports but no mention of any mid contract increases.
