Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

Mine was the same last night. Fine watching the Tennis (first channel on) but soon as I changed channels it was all over the place. I still haven't been rolled back yet.

Still can't see why it takes this long to force a reversal update. I can only assume there are far too many customers putting up with it and not making enough noise.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you again to everyone who has reported this issue and shared their experiences.

We're pleased to let you know that the rollback has now started, and some customers have already noticed the change taking effect. As this is being rolled out in stages, it will continue over the next few days until all affected customers have been updated.

We appreciate that this has taken longer than expected, and we'd like to thank you for your patience while our teams worked to identify and implement a solution.

I'll continue to use this post as the main update point, so please keep an eye here for any further news.

Thank you for your continued patience and for taking the time to report the issue.

Thanks

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

Thank you for getting this update and fix rolled out. How would I go about seeking some form of compensation for a poor service for the days.

will sky customer service be in touch?

kind regards

M

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

I came here as a new user (about a month) of Sky Stream as I've been having random glitches or slowed down framerate etc during the World Cup games. As I'm still new to it all so I've been wondering if it was on my end with maybe congestion on the router or similar (300mb Sky fibre).

From what I've read it seems to be the same issue as most others on this thread so I'll await the fix. I live just five minutes from the Sky Chilworth campus so I could have walked there with the box in-hand!

Hopefully they're on top of it now.

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

Hi Kev, thanks for the update, how will Sky know which are the affected customers? Or is it an automatic update for anyone on QSE040.033.00P back to 037?

Hopefully it will be fixed in time for the semi final this week as I am now really at the end of my tether with it

Thanks

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

This is good news. Which is the 'fixed' build version? My sound and picture has been stable for a few days now.

Highly unlikely. You would need to call to make your case. Any compensation is likely to be of nominal value.

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

I've been stuck on QS40... with all the associated issues for ages now .. Contacted [email protected] who are normally very good .. not now .. Just taken a call from them asking to book a session with a specialist who will resolve my issue (not sure how).. Tried repeatedly to explain this is a Sky fw issue being rolled back in batches .. told them to look at this thread or at very least point their boss at it .. If anyone from Sky is reading this your customer service has hit an all time low with this .. Things break .. things go wrong .. that's life .. it's how you deal with it .. this isn't the way to do it I'm afraid..

Although the stutter has now been fixed I have just had the empty blue box issue again on this build, had to restart it to fixed it
