Sky stream keeps stopping working

Just had sky stream installed but for the past 2 nights it keeps dropping out getting blue screen and getting message waiting for program to load.

Initially was using wired connection was told to try wirelessly but both give same result.

Anybody solved this?

When you use Ethernet connection, have you gone into settings and explicitly disabled WiFi? Otherwise, counter-intuitively it'll still use WiFi. 

Also, what speeds are you getting? 

  1. Open the Netflix app on Sky.
  2. Go to Get Help in the sidebar.
  3. Select Check Your Network.
  4. Note the download speed displayed and share it here.

Tried to call sky after another unusable night of tv, they sent me a link to the sky check network tool and when checked got 1.6 Mbps to the hub. I called following day  and when checked got 17Mbps.

It's stated my minimum should be 46 Mbps so a sky engineer is coming along today.

I forgot to add.

 

they checked the connection setup remotely and it was correct.

they said if I get further problems to remove cable and use wirelessly which I now do. Not dropping out so much but still slow.

Hopefully an engineer can help you with the speed issues, as that's going to be the problem.
