Sky stream issues

Hi I've had sky stream now for about 3 -4 months and it kept on disconnecting from my wi-fi so I thought maybe it needs a update on its software so I've done that but now it keeps getting to about 20% and then not doing anything like it don't want to update itself there's nothing wrong with my wifi and I get excellent speeds off of it I need help.

@Josmith1  You can't force a software update on the puck, it will update itself automatically.

If yu're havong issues with puck oiver wifi have you tried ethernet between the puck & router?

I do not have Ethernet I live on a mobile home site so not cables or wires needed, my other one in my bedroom keeps stopping and saying waiting for program to load but it's only been doing this today yesterday it was fine and the last 3 months it's been fine so I really don't know what to do

@Josmith1  Are you using a communal type service?   What speeds do you get over wifi?   Anything below 20mbps will serioulsy affect the stream puck, you need also at least 35mbps for UHD.

It may be up too, but what speeds are you actually receiving over wifi?

@Josmith1  You're not telling us what speeds you are getting over wifi though.

Did you do a full reset of the puck? as this looks like your going through the setup process again, If so you shouldn't have done that.

Try unplugging the puck for 30 minute and plug back in, don't try any resets or forced software updates.

It's still doing the same thing I've even swapped my picks over for the bedroom to the living room and it's still doing it.

Re: Sky stream issues

@Josmith1 Run a Speedtest on the device you using to make your posts to find out the speed you are getting.

What sorts of TVs are your pucks connected to?

If they are WebOS LG TVs there is a speed test app available, also do the streaming apps on the TVs work?

Re: Sky stream issues

The puck in the living room is on a sharp TV not smart and the one in the bedroom is on a lg TV don't know if it's smart or not but the apps are not running right so I've got another puck ordered but the sky team thinks it might be my wifi box that is playing up

Open the Netflix app on the Stream puck. Navigate to the Get Help menu and run a network test.
