Sky stream and soundbar earc
I have a Panasonic oled TV and recently updated the sound bar to a Panasonic soundbar both are earc compatible. The sky stream is plugged into TV, both TV and steam audio setting are on Auto. With earc on TV enabled the sound keeps cutting in and out all the time on every channel. Changing stream audio settings does not do anything to fix this. Turning earc off on the TV setting is the only thing that fixes the sound issue. Sound from TV Freeview is fine when earc is on and so is Xbox sound. Why would the stream puck have issues with earc being turned on?
I have also checked and changed the hdmi ports and cables on the puck and the issue with earc on remains.

Try setting the audio output of the Stream puck to Passthrough and also the audio settings on the TV to passthrough.
Also make sure that the HDMI cables you are using between the puck and the TV and the TV and the soundbar are of the same speed and spec.

Re: Sky stream and soundbar earc
Weirdly if I set TV and puck to pass through with earc enabled the program sound is fine. But when an advert comes on the sound cuts in and out constantly. Turn earc off on the TV settings and the sound is fine. Don't know why earc should be having issues with sky stream puck.

Have you tried Dolby Digital+ as the audio ouput on the puck? Keep the TV on passthrough.

Re: Sky stream and soundbar earc
Thanks for your help. I have tried every setting on the puck and TV and the only one that makes a different is disabling earc on TV.
Oh well another strange sky puck feature to live with.

Interestingly I had strange issues with a Stream puck on my Panasonic OLED. Lip sync and CEC interference mainly. Never was able to rectify them and wasn't happy to live with it so got rid of the puck and switched to NOW TV on Apple TV hardware. Have never had an issue since.
