Sky stream Disney Plus 4k not working

I have just got sky stream set up with UHD package. UHD works fine on Sky Cinema and Prime but not on Disney Plus. Any ideas why Disney plus isn't allowing 4k Playback?

All 4K content on Disney+ has HDR. If your TV is not HDR capable or hasn't been set up to receive it then Disney+ will default to HD.

TV is HRD capable and is set up in HDR. HDMI port set to UHD/HDR and is working on other apps on stream. My Xbox and my Chromecast I previously had in this TV hdmi port supported UHD on Disney plus on this so not sure what's going on.

Try giving the puck a reboot then try a refresh of the apps.

So i've performed a full reboot with power out for a minute, this unfortunately didn't work. Then I have tried the refresh apps option and still not working.

Hi

Turn the power off to the puc for 10 minutes and turn off your tv

Check all cables are connected securely.

Really hope this solves the issue.

So pulled power from both puck and TV for 10 mins and still no luck.

Not all the content on Disney is in uhd - check for content that you know for sure is in uhd and try

When checking full synopsis it does tell you they have available in UHD. But to be sure i am using Way of water as my source as I know on my xbox this is available in UHD

Are you using the HDMI cable that came with the puck? Is it connected directly to the TV and not through a soundbar or AVR?

Yup, cable from puc directly into TV port. Same one previously used for 4k chromecast where Disney was working fine. It's very odd.

Might be worth a try, sky support didn't know and said to try this forum. So mayb Disney plus might be worth a shot, cheers.

Im having the same problem woth disney plus, 4k UHD on all other sky stream apps such as prime, netflix, bbc iplayer working. HD programmes on disneybplus work fine just 4k UHD. starts to play then screwn goes black and a message saying " no signal recieved try changing input".

Spoke to sky 4 times, box reset works for a while then goes again, on 2nd puck. Very disappointed in sky stream. Sky have tried to blame home network but disney plus works fine on smart TV. Netork is stable with average of 72 mbps

Hi Andy, Unfortunately I had no joy. I went through 3 pucks for other reasons but was the same on all. I've come to the conclusion the app on puck doesn't support 4k and have to watch it through xbox instead. Bit annoying when you pay extra for 4k capabilities. I'm tempted to revert back to Q with a satalite so I can not be forced to watch adverts on content I'm paying for!
