One common cause of this is due to not closing apps. When you are leaving an app its best to not press the home button and instead keep pressing the back button. Once you are in the App home page one more press of the back button will either exit the app to the Sky Home screen, bring up a prompt asking you to exit (e.g BBC IPlayer) or bring up the app's side menu where you should see an exit button (e.g Netflix).
