Costs of Pucks Outrageous

Yesterday I tried to sign up for Sky Stream and Broadband., I'm an old customer going back to start up days with Sky, I left two years ago to Virgin Media., but last year I did sign up to Stream and broadband but had to return the pucks as I had a problem with the broadband which would've taken a few weeks before an engineer could visit and sort out. So that cut short that.

Fast forward to the here and now and yesterday I attempted to sign up again but had no joy as the offers available on Sky's website didn't apply because of signing up last year. Now ii onkynhad the service last year for barely a week before I had to return everything.

The quotes for the puck deliveries because I wanted two was £79.98, which for me seemed outrageous and more so considering the broadband issues I had last year. I'd have lost the £79.98 if I had to return the again this time.

Surely there must be a way around this, the Sky advisor did try but as often is the case these days if the computer says no then no it is..  So sadly now I won't be able taking out the Stream nor the broadband, it's the stream imrealaly was interested in but he broadband at £16 extra was a good deal.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Shirt42  There is a way around the charges, simply go elsewhere.

Sky are not obliged to give away things if they don't want to, you have the choice to look at other providers.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Costs of Pucks Outrageous

That's exactly what I've done. Went with EE and took the Apple 4K  box with a Now Subscription, and TNT Sports, with Fibre BB for £67 per month.
