Sounds like in-contract discounts you had may have expired.

@Stingray1984  Sounds like discounts have ended and you're now paying full list price

you would have been informed at signup when they would expire

give sky a call and negotiate

Re: Sky rocketing price for stream

Even with discounts removed, you still shouldn't be getting a 100% increase in price because the discounts are only £3 or £4 per month. I'd give Sky a call because something isn't right....

Have you looked through the itemised bill to make sure someone hasn't added Sports etc to your package....

@Stingray1984 as others have said your discounts may have expired.  This is easy to check by signing into your  MySky account. (www.sky.com) and checking Bills & Payments.  You can compare the current bill to previous ones to see where the differences are.  It will also show you the amount of any current discounts and when they expire.

Re: Sky rocketing price for stream

Definitely check your bill, I was offered a 4 week free trial of sky sports which the added today, & my bill has increased massively, apparently whoever applied it did it wrong. Anyway as I'm in the cooling off period I'm cancelling the lot. Apparently I'm one of fourteen people who the manager has to process a cancellation today

Re: Sky rocketing price for stream

Same thing happened to me. I cancelled as the offers they had were way worse than new customer deals. I had tv, cinema and sports in UHD with add skipping and 2 stream pucks. Not gonna miss it the sound sync issues in stream are beyond a joke and the fact sky go doesn't sync with your stream watch lists is a pain. I'm just gonna dip in and out of Netflix and paramount plus when there's things I want to watch that are bingable. ITV plus for the wife to watch her stuff so she can skip ads and now TV with uhd boost for the sports all sorted and way cheaper and I can take my Apple TV on holiday too.  Apple TV presents everything unified anyway! There's an amazing app called TV launcher for live TV and freely won't be long before it's an app either as the stand alone box has been announced now.

I cancelled my broadband too, initiated a switch and now am paying £40 with sky after they called me and offered me that price for gigabit and wifi max before the switch to Vodafone went live. Before I cancelled best they could do at the end of contract was £40 for 500mbps and an extra £10 for wifi max so I'm ok with that for 2 years as Vodafone was £45 with price rises each year already confirmed.
