Sky puck sound.
Ive recently rejoin Sky after a break.Soon after installing the sky puck to my 2025 Sony Bravia 8 mk2 Tv & Sony theatre 8 i developed sound issues watching on the puck but not watching on the tv smart apps.I have the sound on the puck set to passthrough as i have dolby digital atmos from Sky.I have refreshed the apps many times and unplugged the puck but this doesn't clear the issue.I find it impossible that there is only 1gig on the ram on the sky puck but 17gig on my tv.Im disappointed that I have to jump from one input back to another input to clear this problem.Im reading people suggest have the puck sound set to pcm that's pointless because pcm is for tv speakers only it doesn't play dolby digital atmos which i pay for.Have I got 19 more months of this unreliability.

Stream pucks actually have 4Gb of DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) running on a Quad Core ARM A55 chip. This is quite an old chip from 2017. The newer Stream puck variant quite possibly has an improved chipset but Sky have not issued any information on what this may be. Some customers have noted that reliability is improved on the newer pucks but Sky will not allow customers the choice to switch to one.
