I don't own a TV. Just signed up for Sky streaming & apparently a puck is on its way. But I don't have a TV to connect it to. I assumed I could watch on my laptop using my sky account credentials. Will that work? Or does it rely on the puck being connected to a TV?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Ruth+McD @Rich007jp as stated you could watch sky go via laptop or possibly connect sky glass to laptop via a hdmi input if available on your laptop

Thanks. I've subscribed but it was only when I read I'm getting a puck to plug into my TV that I started to worry as I don't have a TV. But it sounds like that won't be a problem.

Thanks for this. It's a trial so I can cancel within the first 30 days. So I'll look into that.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@davebehaveIt depends on your monitor, it must have a HDMI input, and the specifications of that input HDCPP 2 for4K and obviously the resolution of the monitor or you may have to set the pucks resolution low also does it have sound.
Post the model of the monitor and someone may know.
You still need a TV licence.
Recommendation buy a cheap TV.

Did it work on your laptop?

Unclear who you are asking.
A Stream puck cannot be connected to a laptop.
Subscribing to Stream only to use Sky Go is possible, but a rather expensive way to get a television service.

Hi @TimmyBGood as you say you cannot connect a stream box directly to a laptop,
But as I found out ... having taken my TV down to redecorate ... I was able to connect my Sky Stream box to my laptop by using an HDMI Video Capture Card, connected to the USB port on my laptop,
It worked great, couldn't view any 4K but the HD quality was impressive, and these capture cards only cost about a tenner, so not a bad solution when your TV is out of action 👍🏻
