I have tried to access the hidden menu to restart some apps but when I select 0 0 1 Select, it just leads to Retail mode and no other options. Is anyone else experiencing this issue or is my box faulty?

There isn't a hidden menu on glass or stream. To update apps you go Settings > System > apps & updates > refresh apps. This can take 24 hours.
Unless you have Sky Q, in which case you this post would be best being moved so Q customers can provide assistance.
