Hi all,
Has anyone who's had both, been able to compare or have a good idea of how much ahead one is over the other?
For example Sky Q seems to be the closest to live as far as tv broadcasts go, and Sky Stream is not that far behind it (maybe 30 seconds, not even sure it's that) - but what I want to know is if Now TV is even further behind Sky Stream?

Stream is dependent on broadband speed. If you're close to the minimum requirement, you'll get a longer delay as it'll need to buffer. We're on 500mbps and it's about 20 seconds behind live, which I can handle..

Yeah my stream is very good - just wondering if anyone has had Now TV and how close to stream it is in terms of delay

I've used NowTV and it has a slightly longer delay but not by much but you really need the HD Boost if you're going to be watching football or F1 because it's awful otherwise

To a degree the awfulness of not having Boost is down to the quality of the Smart TV!
Sport with boost can be obtained for about £24 a month with discounts😉

Just wanting to revisit this - timing wise how far behind the sky stream broadcast is now tv in terms of say sky sports main event? does it vary by channel? i just want to know how much further 'behind' i will be if i use now tv instead since renewal is up soon

Sky are rolling out a low latency mode for Sky Sports on Glass and Stream. See this thread: https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Stream/CH-921-and-CH-922-low-latency-test/m-p/4546625#M16843
From a few quick tests I've done, it's at least 20 seconds 'ahead' of the current normal stream. Obviously this is for Sky not the Now proposition, so if you do go to Now the delay will be similar to what it is currently.

@mikealanr Ive had a look today and I'd say low latency mode is anywhere between 15-20 seconds ahead of the "regular" stream feed, which is an excellent step forward.
Heres hoping we can keep seeing these improvements in live sports streaming 👍🏻
