Sky Stream request. Can anyone here help me by telling me if they can get subtitles showing on their [TV Guide] channels like BBC One, ITV1, 4HD etc? Also at the same time see if subtitles are working on those same channels that are replayed from the playlist please.
Many thanks.

Huge and grateful thanks to @Fothergill1 @SKY1992bf and @Jon+Reeve for your help. Looks like I am good to go back with Sky Stream.
Thanks again!
Background FWIW:
- Have a household of hearing impaired folks and a Sky+HD on its last legs
- Sky Q install cancelled after Sky engineers identified dish access issues
- Signed up to Stream instead (Jan 23)
- Subtitles were absent on QS012 - had to abandon Stream and go back to Sky+HD
- Going back to Stream is a gamble as Sky+ viewing card gets blitzed so its all or nothing
- No way of testing if subtitles issue has been fixed after several QS updates since Jan
- Customer Service maintains it is still and outstanding issue
- Took puck to local Sky shop who refused to test it for me 😞
- Decided to ask the nice helpful forum members who came in good - thanks!!

Yes you can.
The stuff in your Playlist will be played back via the app and those individuals apps are responsible for subtitles being available but pretty much all of them have them available.

@Beads69 Subtitles work fine on these channels and they can be turned on in 2 ways:
Go to Settings > accessibility where you will see a subtitles option with an on/off toggle..
Alternatively, on your remote select the button with 3 white dots (below the power button). You will then see an option for subtitles (provided the programme has them), select this and turn them on.
Not all programmes will have subtitles..

Subtitles are not perfect and there have been a number of threads on the issue with people stil complaining about the functionality. If you go to the search box at the top of this page and type in subtitles it will show you some of the other threads. It may be worth reading some of these before switching back to Stream.
