Sky Stream setup for disabled lady

I have a Sky Q box and two remote Q boxes that no longer find the main box.  The person at Sky that I spoke to has sent me two streaming boxes, and nothing to replace my Q box.  I can't set anying up because I'm disabled.

All I want is a sky engineer to come and sort out my TVs for me.  I've spent ov er an hour going round and round the silly on line helper who only wants to point me at discussion groups.  That isn't going to help me stand up and install anything.

It seems SKY doesn't allow anhone to book an engineer and they don't care a damn about the disabled!!

Hi @LesleyWynne

Your talking to other Sky customers here and not Sky. Sky Stream is a self set up product and they don't usually send anyone out for these.

Did you speak to customer services or the accessibility team? They may be able to assist: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/accessibility-information-sky-mobile-broadband-and-talk-customers

Or is there anyone who could assist you?

@LesleyWynne

It sounds to me like you may have been mis-sold Sky Stream when all that needed to happen was an engineer be sent out to help troubleshoot your existing Sky Q system.

Sky Q miniboxes losing connection to the main Q box can quite easily be rectified with boosters amongst other things.

If I were you, unless you specifically requested to change to Sky Stream, I would contact Sky, tell them you don't want Stream and would rather stick with Q. They should arrange for the return of the Stream boxes and for an engineer to attend and assist with your miniboxes.

If you don't want Sky Stream you need to speak to Sky soon as they will automatically activate after 14 days and your Sky Q account will be cancelled.

There is no in-premises support for Stream at all, so you are correct: a call centre person will not have any mechanism to book an 'engineer'.

@Astongooner unfortunately there is a limited scope of issues that the team we can escalate to can deal with. Hence my recommendation would be to contact the accessibility team.
