Sky Stream sales question - live tv

Hi,

Does Sky Stream provide access to any Live TV functionality which isn't already available via the relevant website themselves (iplayer etc)?  I'm ditching Virgin Media and considering alternatives.  Broadband provided via FTTP.

Thanks

Yes, there is an EPG/TV Guide where you can watch live channels. The only difference is that the channels are streamed via the internet instead of a TV ariel or satellite.

The list of TV channels available can be found here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/tv-channel-list-sky-glass

Thats great thank you - i will take a look.

I've read on this forum briefly about poor performance.  Is that almost always down to the internet connection?  or are other concerns a factor?

Typically the majority of issues is due to either broadband speed or the strength and staiblity of the WiFi network. Its why a number of users have a better experience sometimes if they use an ethernet cable to connect the puck to the internet rather than relying on Wifi. Thats not to say WiFi doesn't work its just that Wifi networks are affected by the local environment so everyone's house will be different.

Occassionally people's issues are during to faulty hardware but the Stream puck is loaned equipment that Sky will replace free of charge if its faulty.
