Sky Stream puck terrible

I've had the sky stream puck for coming up three weeks now. Absolutely gutted with it. Performance is terrible. Never been able to watch tv without an issue. Constantly freezes and having to restart to the point where I give up on watching tv and just go and do something else. Today alone I have restarted it 6 times. Apps won't load and just crash as well. Really disappointed with it as have had sky q in the past and no issues there. Hope this can be resolved.

It sounds like you've either got a faulty Puck - give Sky a call - or the Puck's broadband connection isn't optimal. Pucks require a fast, and as important, stable connection. Is your Puck connected over wifi? Or by ethernet cable?

I've run speed tests on the WiFi and it should be ample so yes I do think it's a faulty puck. Will give them a call when I get chance just don't find the customer service the best either.

Can you do a network speed test on each of your Pucks.
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.

Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a handful of times, say over roughly a half hour period, testing every five minutes or so.
What is your speed?

@Meg42   The above suggestions may be useful so by all means try them.  However I can be the set up you have at home.  If your router is not connected to your puck by an ethernet cable then sure your router has a direct line of sight to your puck, that neither has objects on or near them and the router is not near a mirror or window.
