Hi was considering switching to Sky Stream from a Sky + box. Can I check what minimum broadband band speed needed is and if its below that. Is it not worth it. Also have Premier Sports subscription. I have read would lose this on Sky Stream. Would it therefore be possible to add app for this channel to Sky Stream

@BarryC73 The minimum internet speed requirement is 25Mbps. However Stream is totally internet based and the better Mbps all helps. As far as comparing Sky+ to Stream then in my opinion Stream is vastly better, however it does all depend on what you are looking for. Stream starts at £15 a month and includes Netflix, but that price can go up to £100 a month depending if you want all the whistles and bells.
It takes a bit of getting used to as it is very different to other Sky systems but once you get the hang of it it is far better. Some of the extra costs give you the opportunity to skip adverts, or to have UHD/HDR which is stunning if you have a tv that supports it. All independent apps, Disney+ Paramount+ etc are all available (at extra cost) on the home screen so everything all on one page. However like I said research what is provided and how much the total cost is.

Re: Premier Sports - I have Glass and the Premier Sports app was recently added to the available apps. I'm sure a Stream customer can confirm it's now on Stream too.
You can't download and add apps yourself. That's not how Stream/Glass works.

Yes the Premier Sports app is Glass and Stream in the UK, so whilst the channels aren't directly available through the EPG you can watch by subscribing to Premier Sports through the app.
In terms of minimum speeds you need around 30Mbps, slightly more if you are a household that tends to you other internet connected devices at the same time ( e.g games consoles etc)

Yeah 20 mbps won't be enough for the Sky streaming platform.
