Hi — I’ve recently moved from Virgin Media to Sky Stream and currently have both services active, so I can directly compare the sports channels.
On Virgin Media, there are four Sky Sports UHD channels in the guide (Main Event UHD, F1 UHD, plus two Sky Sports UHD “pop-ups”). Today, during Super Sunday, Liverpool vs West Ham was available in UHD on both Sky and VM via Main Event UHD.
However, the Villa vs Wolves game was available in UHD on Virgin Media via the Sky Sports UHD 1 pop-up (labelled Sky Sports Premier League UHD), but was not available in UHD anywhere on Sky Stream — only in HD on the Premier League channel, with no UHD option at all.
On Sky Q this would usually appear via a red-button “Watch in UHD”, but Stream doesn’t seem to offer this.
Given the new Premier League rights deal and frequent simultaneous matches, this is quite disappointing. Is there any way to access these UHD “pop-up” feeds on Sky Stream? Otherwise I may have to return to VM.
