Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

The F1 was terrible earlier and was skipping about every 20 seconds. A temporary work around I found was to go into setting and restart. And I went to F1 channel and has been fine. If I change channel and go back the problem returns. But at least if you know what your watching it may work.

Terrible service really. As we shouldn't have to be doing any of this. I'd say for about a year now the service has been awful. Maybe there servers can't handle it now where there migrating everyone from Sky Q. As I had stream pretty close to when it first came out and was fine. It's only in the past year it's been absolutely dreadful.

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

The only way I have managed to work around the issue watching live f1 at the moment was to restart the box and go directly to the f1 channel and leave it. Obviously not a solution, it's definitely only happened since software update

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

This was my advice yesterday, restarting the puck and staying on one channel.

Soon as you start moving around , you get a stutter every few seconds.

So many of us can't be wrong about this.

Actually the British Grand Prix, like a few other events, is one of the protected events that has to be available to all.

It was also shown live on Channel 4. 🙂

Sky Stream Stuttering Still!

Hi, my Stream Puck has started to 'Stutter' as per every other poor Sky Subscriber with this system - Recently updated to the latest build, downhill since then!   Bearing in mind that there are also Sky Glass subscribers with the same problem would seem to suggest that the problem is definitely at Sky's end!

Come on Sky, sort this out asap or you may lose a few customers PERMANENTLY.

And same story again, picture fine for the Tennis with no channel change. Soon as I switch to the football it's stuttering again 🤷🏼‍♂️

Sky stream puck picture skipping every 15-20 secs.

I am using a sky stream puck with a LG OLED C2 tv. The internet connection is via Ethernet and the Wi-Fi is switched off.

when watching live tv, particularly sport on the terrestrial channels, the picture is skipping every 15-20secs. It is very annoying.

I have tried every solution I can find on line. Tv enhancements have been switched off. Tried switching the puck output to 1080i. Tried rebooting the puck. Tried resetting the tv to factory settings.

Nothing has worked.

Has anyone got any advice please?

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

Hi. I've only just found this thread after days of issues with my sky stream. It seems to be worse when watching sport (F1, World Cup, Wimbledon) and it's evident from this thread there's lots of other people having the same issue. What I can't see from this thread is a fix, other than Sky saying they are aware of it. It's getting difficult to even watch some of tonight's game between Brazil and Norway.

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

Having exactly the same problem, just posted about it before I found this thread.

Sky really need to sort this out quickly. Service is not cheap and the World Cup is barely watchable with the current service.

STREAMING TV constatnt jumping

I have had streaming issues for the past couple of months and the service has still not been resolved. The issue is ALL channels have a random juddering image. It appears to be a time lag or streaming problem from the hub. I have spoken to SKY advisors several times and done everything they asked from changing all my TV settings, restting the hub, resetting the puck. They sent a new puck but NOTHING is working. If we play a programme via an app (eg Iplayer or AppleTv) it works perfectly fine. As soon as we try any channel direct eg bbc1, sky 1 channel 4 or a sky movie etc (anything!) it has this fault and we cannot watch anything anymore!!! I have only just started to experience this since about May. For the previous 12 months everything was perfect. What has changed ? We have not changed anything here - same TV, same equipment but we did renew our contract and services and that is when it seems to have change, albeit all on the exact same deal! The TV has always been connected via wifi in the same room as the hub BUT we also tried direct connection with the ethernet cable and the same issue arises. We simply cannot carry on like this as we are now paying a lot of money to sky for something we are just not able to use. Having done mountains of research, it sounds like the hub is likely the issue in not being adequate for purpose. It has never been as strong as the BT service we had before joining sky We do not want to leave SKY as our experience up to May was fine but we cannot now watch most channels without this juddering happening, It is not something we want to do as we enjoy sky and have enjoyed being with you but these two months are driving me crazy and I am not getting what I signed up for - in fact it is a total watse of time now paying for these services. PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY HELP?????!!!!!
