I have an OLED TV connected via HDMI Arc to an AV receiver and the Puck connected to the AV receiver.
I have set up my PUCK to control TV on-off and Volume. With all devices off if I press the home button all devices come up correctly and volume control works on the AV receiver (via tha Arc). A short press on the Off button on the remote turns SKY off leaving everything else on. A long press should switch the TV off which then switches off the AV off but it doesnt. This worked perfectly with my Sky-Q but at the moment I cannot switch the tv and AV off without resorting to the TV's remote.
I have also tried setting up for the puck remote to turn TV on/off and volume and Speakers volume but this made no difference.
Any suggestions because this is getting really irritating.

The Stream pucks are still a bit dodgy with their HDMI-CEC control with some TVs and receivers. It caused havoc with my system so I still use a CEC blocker and control it and my AVR using a Harmony Elite remote and hub.
Have you tried connecting the puck directly to your TV instead of the AVR or does that introduce lip sync issues?

@SlenderRobert It produced lip sync errors. At least this config the lips appear synchronised so I will stay with this config until a resolution comes to light,
We used to use the harmony one to contriol the whole set up but since changing the AV I just stuck with the Sky Q remote, It worked well and caused fewer issues with others in the household whose patience with tech runs very thin.

@JohnGBar I have exactly the same issue, it's so annoying! Really testing my patience now and the Mrs has lost the will to live!
The amp is a NAD with Apple TV connected and no issues, but sky stream is a differnt matter! The sky remote will switch puck, amp and tv on. The sky remote will then only switch puck off and then if I use LG remote to switch TV off, the amp and tv powers down and then back on with sky selected as the source on amp, but no power to the puck.... I've tried everything universal control setting, connecting puck, phoning sky etc but when the puck is connected either to amp or directly to tv, it always switches the amp back on..... Any help greatly appreciated. I think i'm going to cancel stream or maybe go back to Sky Q to see if this works.

@SlenderRobert tagging you in case you have any ideas?!

Our solution was to stop using the puck and switch to Apple TV 4K boxes as they're just so much quicker and more reliable. The Stream puck is now universally despised in our house due to its inability to do anything quickly or reliably. It's only used to watch the odd Sky show every now and again now. I suspect we'll ditch it completely when our half price deal ends.
My advice to you, if you want an easy life, would be to switch back to Q. The HDMI CEC control from a Stream puck is still useless. I still have a CEC blocker on mine and use a Harmony remote to turn everything on & off as it's the only reliable way to control it.
Sorry not to be more positive!

I think this conversation has convinced me to revert back to Q. I told Sky to extend my trial period because one of my pucks was really getting screwed up and it seems that a software download had failed. The puck is rubbish and while the Q boxes have their issues its way way better than the puck. With the resource at Sky's disposal why can't they get this sorted out. Speed is a real problem, I thought it was my connection at first but I'm on 600mb fibre and Cat 6 wired ethernet connetion to the puck. Is glass as bad, if so I am so glad I never went down that route.

I suspect the Puck only has a 10/100 fast ethernet port. The Q, has a proper gigabit port.
Inside the Netflix app there is a speed test option within help.
On my Sony brava it comes out around 80mbps
On my q box was closer to 200mbps..
On the Puck it's the same as my TV around 80mbps.
My connection is wired with cat6 same as you (decent quality draka hd cat6 as well).
For me it works fine except for the eARC/cec issue. Box doesn't appear as an input if plugged into my amp. So plugged into the TV instead. There was lipsync issues but thankfully amp has autocorrection.
So far it hasn't fallen asleep yet, but I'm sure sky will fix these issues as stream is their main product alongside glass.

@BCX9 if you're connected properly through eARC, you shouldn't have any sync issues with the audio as one of the protocols for eARC is audio synchronisation...

We also get lip sync issues even when connected directly to the TV. It looks like the video is ahead of the audio as no amount of delay adjustment seems to get over it.
If Stream is goingto be Sky's primary push there's a lot of work to do before it can be considered a stable product. Both in hardware and software.

I am which is why I don't get issues.
The amp can turn on/off eARC's auto synchronous audio.
Perfect picture here.
If only hdmi cec can be fixed then it will be good.

I think the hardware is fine, just needs all the bugs squashing in the software.

Unless the speed/responsivness is improved even if all other issues are resolved it will still be a inferior to Sky Q. May be it is all software but with a throttled ethernet connection how will it ever be quiicker than Q?

define responsiveness? I find mine pretty quick, and I ahve seen branded freeview records from well known companies run slower....
if you refer to channel zapping then im afraid thats as quick as it will be because its internet streamed, and just how technology is for the moment.
the ethernet isn't throttled. and to be honest I tested at 80mbps... which for a single box is way more than enough for streaming.

I find the responsiveness of all the third party apps on Sky Stream to be very slow and sluggish compared with the same apps on my TV, Firestick and Apple TV 4K box. Both in terms of how long it takes for the apps to open, general navigation and length of time for a stream to start and buffer up to full quality. Sky Stream does it slower than any other device I own. This is on 500Mbps symmetrical FTTP broadband, tested on WiFi and via ethernet (which maxes out at about 85Mbps)
It's absolutely fine for live TV (though still takes a couple of seconds to buffer those streams to full res) but the apps are just too slow for me to use regularly.
It's clearly been built on a budget with minimal RAM cache.
