Re: Sky Stream Puck, Please Wait….
Hi
So I've got a bit of an odd issue since receiving my replacement Sky Stream Puck.
Not sure if anyone can help in here, I thought I'd ask. If nobody can help, I'll create a brand new thread.
My Sky Stream Puck is connected to an AV Receiver. Yamaha RX-A2A. The AV Receiver is connected to a Panasonic TV. TX65J2000B.
I've setup the Sky Stream Remote to control the volume/switch the TV off/on.
All works fine until the Sky Stream Puck goes into Standby for any length of time, or switch off at the wall. When the happens my audio on the Panasonic TV switches from Home Cinema to TV.
For the audio to work as setup, I have to go into the TV's Audio Settings and switch from TV to Home Cinema.
This issue never happened with the Previous Sky Stream Puck. The issue has only presented itself, since the replacement Sky Stream Puck was setup.
Nothing else in my setup has changed, or no settings were changed.
HDMI Control is turned on at the Sky Stream Puck. eARC is still setup on the AV Receiver/TV.
I'd tried Hard Resetting the Sky Stream Puck. The issue still exists.
Anyone any ideas or solutions?
Thanks in Advance
Barry 🙂

Re: Sky Stream Puck, Please Wait….
I get a similar issue too - not exactly the same but could be the same underlying reason . Sometimes after a long period without use or sometimes if left to go into standby and not turned off properly. Audio completely silent on all apps and channels.
To fix it, I went into the puck audio settings and changed from Auto to any other, then back again. It forces renegotiation of the audio sync. I suspect you're doing the same as me but from the AV receiver/TV side which would achieve the same outcome.
Come to think of it, I might aswell set it to what I think it should be rather than relying on this 'Auto' nonsense

Re: Sky Stream Puck, Please Wait….
Hi @OhBeeGee
Whst I find odd is, with the previous Sky Stream Puck Audio was set to Auto, and I had no issues.
The issues only presented themselves with the replacement Sky Stream Puck. The only difference was, the replacement Sky Stream Puck was Second Gen.
I had played around with the Sound Settings on the replacement Sky Stream Puck, yet the issue still persists.
I'd spoke to Sky Customer Service yesterday evening, long story short, they're sending out another replacement Sky Stream Puck.
Will it fix the odd issue I've got, is anyone's guess at this point in time. The new replacement Sky Stream Puck should be arriving on Monday 5th January 2026.
It will be interesting to see if I receive a First/Second Gen Sky Stream Puck.
Thanks
Barry 🙂

Re: Sky Stream Puck, Please Wait….
Hi @OhBeeGee
I've the same as your screenshot, and a Sky Stream Puck, Version Two.
I wonder if I was just lucky, or Sky are only sending out Version Two Sky Stream Pucks now?
I guess I'll find out tomorrow, when DPD swap over Sky Stream Pucks.
What Make/Model are your AV Receiver/TV?
Are you also seeing the, Please Wait message, when you turn on the Sky Stream Puck for the first time, when it's been in standby for a long time/overnight?
Thanks

Re: Sky Stream Puck, Please Wait….
Hi
I'd received my Sky Stream Puck yesterday. It's a Version Two.
Unfortunately the issue is still happening 😞 It's very frustrating that a change of Sky Stream Puck, has caused the issue 😞

Re: Sky Stream Puck, Please Wait….
I have an old Sony XT100 sound bar, probably coming up for 10 years old, so I'm not averse to blaming it for issues
audio chain as follows: Sky / third party devices have their own HDMI connections to TV, TV has HDMI ARC return connection to soundbar
Yes I do have the 'please wait' issue too, despite turning off power saving and allowing network during standby. Usually when the last viewed content was from the TV Guide. It's not every time though. Sometimes I have to open another app, then when I go back to the thing that said 'please wait' it then magically works. Other times I need to reboot or even pull the power and wait moment
I just find the whole service very disappointing to be honest. In 8 years of Q the most I had was having to reinitialise the hard drive one time
