Hi all,
Apologies if this has been asked but a search didn't turn up any results. Sky are running a 31 day completely free trial of Stream at the moment; does anyone know if this is available to previously subscribed accounts? I had Stream briefly when it became available (this time last year?) but cancelled. Would like to try again to see what improvements have been made in the intervening months.
The MySky app isn't particularly helpful either.

I'd imagine that it's new customers only but you could try placing an order and see what happens or call Sky and ask them...

@WDC88 New customers only. A new customer is defined as having sky tv within the past 12 months.

Reading through the forums in the last 12 months I'd say vary little change, same issues keep being reported and same bugs.
unless a new Puck with improved processing power is released I'd wait another year but then there is still the glitchy software to contend with 🙄

I'd agree with @Gincap - you won't see much (if any) difference from 12 months ago.
I was an early adopter and got it in October last year. I've been very patient with Sky over the past 12 months but I'm about to give up on them completely due to the lack of improvements.
The Stream pucks and their remotes just aren't reliable enough. The service is constantly impacted by factors outwith the customer's control.

Thanks all for the replies. Website isn't working anyway, it lets me get so far then says "technical error" - looks like I'm sticking with my Apple TV box.

The only posts here are almost all with problems. If everyone without any issues all posted then the forum would be absolutely huge. I doubt everyone with problems posts here either but you can't base recommendations using the data in this forum.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@OldMark Your correct that the forum is mostly full of people with problems or generally having a moan. Unfortunately it is the nature of a help forum like this one that people gravitate to it when they have a problem to seek advise or treat it as a platform to vent their frustrations. As you say it does lead to a somewhat lop sided view.
Initially I was no different as I used the forum to find solution to the problems and issues I was having initially with Sky Q and then with my Glass TV. Having had such great help and advice I felt the least I could do it to try and help others. Admittedly I don't have the technical skills of many of the contributors but I do my best when I can.

My technical skills lie in a different sphere altogether but most times I've been able to sort stuff out for myself or know where a problem may lie. If something is faulty then I know whereabouts to look and things to eliminate but it is one thing to deal with our own situations and another to have confidence in advising others.
You do a great job and as you may have noticed I take your answers and use them to learn and advise since my experience is limited with this kit and I've not had any major problems to deal with regarding Sky's service or equipment for years.
Even so, I would not make recommendations one way or other since I don't have the full 'picture', only personal experience, and it is for others to make their own choices based on whatever they like.
Cheers pal.
