Sky Stream - Bluetooth and Private listening.

Any inside info on whether the stream pucks will receive a future update to enable bluetooth pairing?

For the remote pairing, I'm assuming it's via Bluetooth so the boxes have the capability.

I wonder whether they're Bluetooth 4.2 or 5+.

My experience of 4.2 is that latency and range problems make listening via Headphones a pretty poor experience.  But if the boxes are 5+ capable the private listening via Headphones should be possible.

@GRIFF2013 & @Oswald81 doubt it will happen for the Stream as opposed to the Glass as few if any set top boxes have an audio output these days. Many modern TVs allow bluetooth audio output which meets most requirements if not you can buy a HDMI audio extractor with a built-in bluetooth transmitter which you can add to the HDMI chain.

Re: Sky Stream - Bluetooth and Private listening.

My iphone picks up both my pucks bluetooth signal but wont connect.  Perhaps sky could allow private listening via the sky go app as Roku offer.

@Terry8 unfortunately that is unlikely to happen as the bluetooth connection on the Stream pucks is for the remote control to connect to and no other device can connect to it. Ther only output from a puck is via the HDMI socket which carries both audio and video.
