This happens to me regularly on one of the bedroom pucks, really frustrating just turns off !!

The Stream puck was released in October 2021, right at the end of the pandemic when sourcing silicon components had become a widely discussed global problem.  As noted above, given that nothing a puck does needs more than around 30Mbs, specifying a gigabit ethernet chipset would have been both entirely pointless and reduced supply for devices which actually required faster connection.

Yeah, I'm no fan of defending the cheap as chips crummy Sky Steam hardware, but even £8k LG TVs have 100 Mbit ethernet ports, there's just no reason to fit faster for the use case.

@pedro_n_f_d_c  I did on the F1  UHD channel until I managed to get sky to replace the puck and was lucky enough to get the later version - IP061B-02-SKY-ant-G01  . Not had any issues in the last race ,  but been no races for almost a month now to see if it's a permanent fix .

We're currently aware of an issue where the picture on the Sky Sports UHD channel via Sky Stream is stuttering and glitching. We have the right support teams investigating this just now and they're working on getting this issue fixed as soon as possible. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience this is causing. @cliffyh  Yes I do, I had to watch the Man U v Brentford match in HD as UHD was unwatchable.  Not just you and me though, most on this very long and unresolved thread are having the same problem.

Watching in HD (v1 puck) as per normal as UHD is unwatchable with Benny Hill and sound drops out.

Utter garbage Sky and you're ripping me off (and many others) every month charging me for a service I can't watch.

Maybe I'll start going to my Barbers and pay him £20 then walk out, that's what this feels like.

Does anyone at SKY have any idea what they are doing?. Test Labs and Diagnostics? Servers CPU & RAM. Puck testing.

Yet a  bloke in the pub tonight has got the game , on a dodgy fire stick and gets s perfect  coverage  of the game from start to finish

Man U v Brentford UHD was bad for me yesterday (V1 Puck), so at half time I pulled the power from the puck for 5 mins, then powered it back on, the 2nd half was basically perfect.

So either i got connected to a better server, or the V1 puck is the issue

TBH I have not checked whether I have a V1 or V2 puck.

I continue to be puzzled though as to why a football match covered by TNT in Full HD runs without a hitch but a football match covered by SKY in Full HD generally does not "work". If the puck is the problem why does TNT FHD work but not SKY FHD. Is it not simply the service being provided by SKY that is at fault and that put simply it needs to provide a service in the same way that TNT is doing?
