Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering

it's been escalated to a manager for Monday , usual what's your broadband speed , where's the puck , line of sight to the hub , not a Sky hub , have you reset it , all off all on ......

I've just changed Internet provider from Hey Broadband (who use the F&W fibre network) to Andrews and Arnold (who use OpenReach FTTP) and so I had the chance to test a switch between ISPs. I see the same stuttering on UHD sports channels with both ISPs, my stream is connected using Ethernet so no issues with WiFi. Non-live UHD content like movies are completely fine.

I've had this awful issue. I switched default streaming format from Auto to UHD, pass through sound and all seems fine so far.

@Ribsky My streaming has always been set to UHD and made no difference, but I have just changed to Passthrough on the sound

I've bought a new TV cos thought it was the telly because Sky keep saying there's nothing wrong with the Sky equipment. I am currently in the process of changing my ISP to.....,wait for it.....Drum rolll.....Skylink!! On  the recommendation of the Openreach engineer cos no fibre BB where I live. Let's see what happens eh!

I am experiencing picture stutter anytime I try to watch a football match being shown in UHD. It's furstrating and something I am keen to fix as whilst it works the image is stunning but I feel I am paying for something that is simply not delivering.

I see that that this was a topic of discussion a few months ago which attracted a lot of attention and among the messages I saw that SKY had undertakne to invstigate and report back. I have check ping via my laptop and it is around 16. Just wondered if generally this issue was resolved and if so what I might be able to do to resolve it in my case. My puck is hard wired from the router so not reliant on wifi.

My minimum guaranteed broadband speed is 600 and recent checks suggest what I am receiving is well below this. I plan to speak to SKY tomorrow about that but I think the speeds I have been receiving should be enough not to be the cause of the stuttering issue.

Does this continue to be a widepread issue? In the meantime if the match I want to watch is on a UHD channel is it possible to make an adjustment to watch it in HD to avoid the frustrations I am currently experiencing until a more permanent resolution is found?

We need really to wait for Sky to do what we need as customers and a clear fix to the issue. Also, why we have to keep paying for UHD sports when it's not working correctly is I and many feel is very unfair. Sky need to be doing way more than what they are doing

What is the official update on this from sky ??  We should be having weekly updates on the issue and progress, think it's time that this news was made aware in the media

Completely agree @THeG. Sky are not helping the whole issue by not updating us and letting us know what they are doing about it.

 Come on Sky... you say "Believe in Better". Can you show it by fixing these issues and informing us with what is happening and as said by @THeG providing us with updates

I've been following this thread with interest. I've taken a look at the Sky Glass forum, and there doesn't seem to be an equivalent thread for customers complaining about stuttering on Sky Sports UHD. Presumably Glass gets its content from the same servers as Stream? And the software will presumably be the same as that of the Stream puck? And does anyone know what proportion of Stream customers are affected by this issue? I assume there must be a high proportion of customers who are not affected? It's all rather odd.

Still interestingly showing as HD on the 922 channel if you press the select button. Something is wrong on the puck
