Sky Sports UHD Picture Stuttering and Poor Volume

I can't agree more with Thunderbird, I'm totally fed up with the **bleep** quality of the American Football coverage. If it's not a rubbish sound it's an awful picture, which keeps changing throughout the telecast. I'm not wasting

time checking all my settings, my system is set up perfectly. Come on Sky get it sorted out.

Try using the 'passthrough' sound option, that's worked for me when the picture is stuttering badly on UHD using 'auto'

Yes pass through + auto setting has fixed this for me. Picture is perfect and sound better. It has recreated another issue around a buzzing noise through the soundbar when I'm on the UI but it better than poor picture quality

Yeh, I've been frustrated by this too. Sky Sports UHD, 401, is the only channel where the picture stutters.  Any other UHD channels, or Netflix and the like are perfect. 

i found some guidance online that it could be related to the sound settings on your puck. Mine was set to auto, but then changed to passive (?), and for the last 30mins the picture has been - touch wood - fine.

I have this issue constantly. Have to restart the box, which usually sorts it out. It's worst when big games are on! So it's definitely skys end, I have 300mb connection. People also talk about latency, if this is an issue on fibre broadband over WiFi. This service shouldn't be rolled out.

It was playing up before a ball had even been kicked this afternoon 

I restarted the puck and put audio to pass through....It's been working absolutely fine no issues to report

I've just changed the sound to pass through and it's now running fine! Shame not having atmos sound, but I prefer the better picture to actually be smooth. Come on sky, sort it out!

That's interesting as I still get Dolby Atoms through my Soundbar using pass through 

I don't keep it on pass through for non sport because there's a slight delay when I switch between channels that I find only with pass through (could be my soundbar) that is annoying but it helps with the stuttering picture

Watching the F1 sprint on 29-Nov on Sky was awful. Yes the race was terrible but the stuttering made it completely unwatchable. On 401 and 407. I also had the same issue on the HD channel - think 902 or around there. 

no issues on any other channel. 

Fed up of this.

sky stream concept is amazing, however their current devices and software are not up to the job!
