Sky Satellite Dish

Hello,

We are in the process of buying house and the current owner has asked if we would like to keep the satellite dish, otherwise he will remove it while the house is getting repointed.

Any idea if satellite dishes are being used now as I believe most channels are being streamed through internet?

Can anyone offer some insight?

P.S. In our current house we are using Sky Stream.

Thank you,

Joel

If you have Sky Stream you don't need a satellite dish as the entire service is delivered by the internet.

The satellite service will likely stop towards the end of the decade, which is when the current satellietes being used to broadcast reach the end of their life.
