Sky Go downloads and Sky Stream

Hi.  So we currently have Sky + HD but as I'm about to upgrade my broadband to Full Fibre the missus had decided she wants Sky Stream.  As the passive user of the TV, I tend to watch my stuff on an IPad using Sky Go or on a laptop.  I often download to these devices, normnall thre ipad.  I understand that Sky Stream doesn't faciliate download at the TV but will I still be able to download to my IPad or laptop ?  Those 1.2 hours commuter train journeys are going to get might tedious if I can't still download to the IPad.

Sky Go will work exactly as you are using it now.

Sky Stream offers all the On demand and live viewing as you have now.

As there is no physical hard drive, it's all added to your playlist and held for viewing there.

You will need a good local network and broadband connection at home.

Sky recommended minimum broadband speed of 25Mbps.
Or 30Mbps if you add an extra Sky Stream puck or to watch in UHD

Have a read of all the features section in the Sky Stream FAQ, link below to get a picture of how sky Stream and the playlist works.

@Srapublic

The main difference is that as Stream doesn't record anything locally, it's not possible to transfer data from there to a Go device.  Anything saved into Go is downloaded directly.
