Discovery + changes
Ok, so I know D+ have taken Eurosport off Sky, annoying but that's life. Gutted when we lost Fox!!
Anyhow,, obviously to watch the cycling, etc it appears I have to purchase TNT which to me is unbelievably annoying as it just means more bldy football, which I don't watch. So what I want to know is two things really:
1. Can you cancel D+ from your Sky subscription, and
2, if you can't how do you get a rolling TNT subscription?
I would cancel Sky if I could but I'm tied into an 18 month contract with a year+ to roll.
If someone would point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Have looked on MySky but that's tying you to TNT for 24 months.
If I'm missing something obvious, apologies TIA

Re: Discovery + changes
Hi @Jillyb15
Eurosport has stopped broadcasting in the UK and therefore removed from all providers not just Sky.
You can cancel D+ via mysky under app subscriptions within manage content packs.
TNT on Sky is a 31 day rolling subscription. You may see it say £28 for 18 months, but this doesn't lock you in. (I have cancelled and rejoined a number of times). However if you rejoin after cancelling you will pay the full £30 per month price.
If you cancel D+ on sky and sign up directly with them, you will only be able to watch on the app and not the epg.

Re: Discovery + changes
Just checked again and used the down arrow which does indeed take you to a box which says "remove". However when you click that, you go through to another page which states 'Customers currently can’t cancel bundled apps like the discovery+ Basic package'.
I suppose I could ring them about this, or as you say join TNT, however it is currently £29 pm for 24 months. I'm not pleading poverty by the way I just resent having to buy more stuff I don't want.
To think I joined Sky 24 years ago basically for Eurosport! Thanks for your help by the way.
@Bill051
I would prefer the app any day and watch via my firestick. Better picture and ease of use.

That would make sense depending on the Sky TV package you have, as the packages that have Discovery + bundled in "for no extra cost" you wouldn't be able to remove from your Sky account.
If you wanted to upgrade Discovery + to premium directly with Discovery then the best thing to do would be to create a new Discovery + account rather than trying to switch an existing account that is linked your Sky account.

Re: Discovery + changes
I've just created a free Discovery+ account using a different email address with the idea of upgrading to Premium for a few months later in the spring and will watch on Firestick.

Re: Discovery + changes
Good thinking! (Not being sarcastic). Probably have to do it via my google email address as I suppose my usual address would be blocked out to Sky.
I will explore if there's a possibility.
