1 more race to go and and, as long as they can stand the flak, they can **bleep** away until next March to get the issue resolved. So I don't hold out much hope of the issue being resolved until the new F1 season kicks off in late March. It's not until the rubber hits the road, (pun intended), and we are putting pressure on the system, Live viewing and using playback, that we will find out if the issue has been resolved. Plenty of space then for Sky software backroom team to get their act together and solve this problem, once and for all. And if it does work, don't fiddle with it, pay attention to the old maxim, 'If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it'!

Hard wiring doesn't make any difference. My kit for the sky glass is all hard wired.
I get the same issue from a sky puck too on another TV.
It's the content delivery from the sky servers that's the problem. I'm pretty sure of that.

Yep, exactly the same problem for me. Proving this is a content/content delivery problem.

I've had the same issue with those two races too.

Same here sky just keeps buffering or losing sync dropping out repeatedly got worse recently can't watch a single programme where it doesn't drop several times. Definitely not my internet I have checked and had it monitored over a week and it's stable so definitely sky stream. Any solutions offered paying fir a very poor service.

The agent I spoke to said they'll need to wait until the issue is resolved to then offer credit across the whole period it's been affected. He also accidentally took me off hold early without realising, while he was still discussing with a colleague so I overheard him talking about how it's "**bleep**e" and something about how they shouldn't still be selling the product if it isn't ready and doesn't work properly. So clearly customer service / tech support know what's up! Obviously it's not their fault and they've got no power over sorting the issues, but someone higher up at Sky needs to take serious responsiblity for this.

About 3 weeks ago, after my entering this forum, I received a call from Sky, and was booked to talk to a technician a few days afterwards. Result? No call, so obviously not deemed a serious problem at the time. Hopefully this forum, gathering momentum, will concentrate their efforts, as I'm sure we're only the tip of the iceberg.

We have 2 sky stream boxes in our house. And both off them constantly jump back out off program, and when go back in you have to watch again. It can do this a few times sometimes.
We have reset one box, but made absolutely no difference to the issue.
Damn annoying.

@MAM52 Do they do this while watching or after you have paused the program?
06 Dec 2024 10:01 PM
While watching a program, with absolutely no input or touch on the remote control.
07 Dec 2024 06:46 PM
@MAM52 I don't know the reason for this I'm afraid hopefully someone else might be able to help.
All I can suggest is do a hard reset in other words unplug at the socket on both pucks and leave it for at least 30 seconds but perhaps a bit longer. Then allow to reset and see if that helps. It doesn't sound like it's a problem with the apps but just in case go to settings on both pucks and update your apps.

This happens all the time on my 2 pucks, you select "Watch from Start" it's ok until the program has finished its broadcast, if after the end of that time you try & FFW or even RW it goes back to the start of the show,
I've found a workaround, don't PAUSE, RW or FFW, if you let it run its course it won't go back to the beginning , you can watch all of the show til it's end but will have to watch the last advert
this has been reported on previous posts a few months ago, Sky must be aware but nothing gets done.

Why does the F1 stream skip 30 seconds every 30 seconds? It's seem to only ever be with the race programme - typically.
A good version of the stream never seems to be available until the programme has been repeated later in the evening, meaning I have to wait until the following day to watch the GP.
Avoiding the result for a day is almost impossible.
